I am currently applying to dental school for the second time and I think I really need to do a masters program to help my app. My overall gpa is only a 3.02 and I'm currently studying to retake the DAT too but I feel like i should do my masters to improve my application more. So does it matter what exactly I do my masters in? Can it just be a regular biology masters? And does the school I attend for it matter too?

Thank you

Really the answer to all of your questions is no.

Pick something that you will find interesting, that will keep you engaged enough in to get a 4.0. When I did my masters I picked something that would afford me the opportunity to explore other avenues of employment if I couldn't get an acceptance. In doing so I heavily broadened my skill set, built one hell of a work ethic, and positioned myself to be a very competitive applicant. Whatever you decide to do, just don't squander your time.

Thank you for that advice. Do you mind if I ask what you decided to your masters in
