does mcat score expire?

hi guys
for md schools, usually mcat scores must be no older than 2 years old. maximum i have seen is 3.
do DO schools also have the same deal?

Yes. Check individual schools for their MCAT expiration.

Most DO schools take scores up to 3 years.

I believe UNE-COM takes scores only up to 2 years, and UMDNJ-SOM takes scores up to 5 years. Not sure if there are any other schools different from the standard 3 years.

GL 👍

3 years old at the majority of schools, haven't seen anything longer than that.

Is it 3 years from the time of application or matriculation? Some schools list a specific year for "Oldest MCAT considered" while some just say "3 years"

It depends on the school. Some schools say it is year of test to application cycle... Like you took the test in 09 (anytime) you started your application in 12, you're still okay. Some say you took the test in jan 09 but applied in June 12, not okay. Some say you took the test in Jan 09, you are good through the 11-12 application cycle, but that's it... It really depends on the school, if you're on the border, it is best to check or just retake it...
