Does Peds require oral boards?

Debating whether or not to dump EM oral boards, over on the EM forum. Does peds require oral boards?

I think they did a long time ago, but don't currently. Our boards are on computer now, done in one day (used to be two).

And soon only requiring day-long exams for initial testing--maintenance of certification will be by quarterly, open-book questions in the comfort of your own home, or office, or whatever.

I took oral boards in general pediatrics (not neo, which has never had them) a long long time ago...it was awful. The worst part was waiting outside the room after the exam to see if you had to "come back" for more questions. If you can get rid of them, I suggest doing so.
