I got put "on hold" at Penn State and I really liked the school and would love to get in off of the waiting list. I am trying to figure out how much interest I should show. I sent a letter of interest just before I was put on hold, but now I want to continue to show interest to improve my chances of getting in. I heard that some schools get annoyed if you send LOIs, whereas some schools really like it. Anyone know Penn State's view on this? Any suggestions?

I've been wondering this too. I sent a letter of interest last week and they told me they got it. But, I've heard mixed things about actually contacting a dean directly or something.
