My transcript says biomedical sciences.
but it doesn't say "majored in pre-med" does it?My transcript says biomedical sciences.
My transcript says biomedical sciences.
wait so your premed, applying to dental school?
Well then you are a pre-dent taking biomedical sciences. No need at all to toss the term "pre-med" around. Unless you feel there is some sort of sexy street-cred that is associated with it. I've never understood why people love using the "pre-x" titles so much. I asked someone the other day what his major was and he said pre-law. Too bad there is no "pre-law" degree at our school. He is a history major. My transcript says biomedical sciences.
I guess I could say that Im a pre-dent, but there is no pre-dental at my school.
You don't get it. Nobody cares if you are pre-dental, pre-med, or pre-whatever. It is irrelevant that your school does not have a "pre-dent" option, if such an official designation even exists. All pre-dent means is that you have taken all of the dental prereqs and intend to apply to dental school. The only thing the adcoms see is "B.S. in Biomedical Sciences." You could apply to whatever you wanted with a degree like that or call yourself "pre-string theory" and still apply to dental school, just as long as you do the prereqs. Got it?
I'm gonna say dudette.Good luck dude! 🙂
Thanks, you too.To the OP, don't stress man. I know where you are coming from. 90% of the BME kids at my school are premed. Some of the kids at my school are asking me why I'm doing BME when I'm trying to get into dental school. People just assume that when you do BME you are trying to go into med school. At my school, 80% of the BME kids who apply to med school get in. Well you are not the only BME pre-dent, I'm one myself. Good luck dude! 🙂
I'm in a "Bio major, pre-med concentration" because basically premed prereqs = predental prereqs. I never thought about them looking at the "premed" title 🙁
