Does Program defer DO TRI?

I am very very fortunate that I matched into PM&R this year. a few days ago, I scrambled into Osteopathic Traditional rotating internship that relatively new. but I liked that TRI because a lot of focus on OMM that I might forget to do in allopathic residency. Do Program Directors ever defer TRI position? I know the program director is an amazing man and I am excited to be his resident but just in case??

I'm not sure I understand your question. From your post I am guessing that you are now matched into a DO TRI starting in June and then an advanced PM&R program starting in the summer of 2014.

When you say "defer" do you mean you would like to take a year off? or are you committed to a DO and a MD intern year?

No way I am taking a yr off. what I am saying is if PM&R program director thinks where I will be doing internship is crappy, can he or she say No to that and ask me to find different spot??

well i hope this thread does not confuse anyone. As long as people can get spot that is legit for intern yr, it does not matter
