does re-submitting AMCAS push you back in line to be reviewed?

HELP! I keep editing my recommendation letters (because I recently added one) and I haven't assigned them to all my schools yet because I am still not sure which ones I want to send where. Each time I change something on AMCAS, it asks me to re-certify and re-submit my application. Does anyone know if this pushes me back in line to be verified??? This only occurred to me just now and I am freaking out because it has said 'Submitted- Ready for Review' since mid-September and I wish they would hurry up!

Please help! And please note if you are just guessing or if you actually know, although I guess I appreciate both kinds of responses

it won't push you back in line. you're fine. you can resubmit 80 times if you want and you'll keep your place.

A limited number of changes can be made with a simple recertification, like adding schools - those will not push you to the back of the line.

Changes to the letters of recommendation section, however, cannot be made after an application is submitted... at least not without a full resubmission. If thats what you're actually doing, you are losing your place in line.

Amcas verification takes approximately one month, so you wouldn't be done by now anyway. Be aware that you are applying quite late in this season, and that should you not get in to a school this cycle you will have a harder time next year as a re-applicant.

Not true. You can add letters, and you can assign additional letters to individual schools, without changing your 'place in line.' What might be difficult to do is to delete a letter, but even that would not change your place in line.

OP, you're fine. Letters of recommendation aren't technically even a part of the primary application, they're handled by the AMCAS letters service, and considered a part of the secondary application at most, if not all, schools.
