hey guys i was thinking about retaking 2 classes that i got a C in, Botany and A&P, i was just wondering if its going to look bad during the application process. Im basically trying to raise my GPA as much as possible and it would get me close to a 3.6 if i did so. what do you think...thanks

Sadly you cannot get rid of the C's by retaking the classes if you will be applying to Allopathic schools. You will have to put them on your AMCAS no matter what... It may replace the grade at your undergraduate institution, but the AMCAS will generate it's own GPA. Getting A's in other classes would counteract them as much as getting A's in repeats of those. If I were you, I would not retake those classes, but take other upper level science classes. Use your credits wisely!!! If you do that and you are still worried about your GPA...maybe take another year and possibly add another major before you apply.

Good luck!!! You will be fine! 2 C's is not too bad in the scheme of things!

srsly though, not a big deal.

thanks for the replies...Im just mostly worried about getting the GPA up before i apply more than anything...if they dont look down upon it, i think im going to just retake so my GPA will move up and couple tenths....thanks again for the input..
