Does the FA price drop in Jan just after the new release?

I've been considering buying FA, and I'd be most interested in the 2012 edition. Does the price of "last year's" edition drop in mid-January when they release the new year's edition, or does it stay pretty stable for a while? I'd hate to drop $40 on it now if it'll be much cheaper in January.
