Does the RR pathology text correspond with...

Actually, he jumps from one part of the chapter to another. But if you flip a few pages, you can always catch him in text. personally i thought it was more helpful just listening attentively.
The audio actually correllates perfectly with the transcript though!

In those audios he is just going over his notes. Everything that is in his notes or that he teaches he puts in RR path. That audio lecture series is from a few years ago and he just skips around through his notes in however they happened to be arranged at the time and however it comes up because he's giving the audience the benefit of live teaching and making connections for them; the book has everything in the audio plus more but its organized and you have to make the connections yourself sometimes to see how certain things could be important or they could be overlooked because of the outline form.

I follow along in the book while I listen and highlight the stuff he says is important in a particular color. He definitely doesn't just go straight through the book in order though so it helps if you have already read the chapter once before you listen to the audio b/c then you sort of know where to flip to when he starts talking about a particular topic.

I thought RR path was virtually a requirement for Step 1? That ish is already filled with notes from Robbins and his lectures, lol.

So if you have the transcript, do you need the book at all?

if you try to read the transcript alone you cant really retain it as nicely as you can the book. its got more detail, is more systematic.
you dont hear goljan say 'its all in the transcript' do you?😛

I figured I'd throw some love in here from OSU-COM and Poppie. His book is written for step 1 AND step 2. In our lectures I typically follow his ppts then highlight only the things he addresses. I'm taking both boards in June, so I've been going through the most efficient board regimen and that seems to be it. His book has alot of detail that may not be needed yet.

The bootlegged audio is approx 8 years old and his book has been republished a time or two. That is where the discrepancy/hopping around comes from. His current audio/video files (which shouldn't be out) correlate directly with his current RR Path book. If you can get to one of his reviews you should do it.

Also his book is set to have a "re-printing" out in April. He has brought this up several times in lecture. I'm assuming it just has fixed errata in it.

I wish I could just pay to see Dr. Goljan's review at falcon. Does anyone know if this is possible? I've tried emailing them but no reply yet, going to try to ring them up next time I'm free, thanks!

I just talked to the guys at Falcon two weeks ago. Goljan is still giving the reviews live as a part of their course. If you go, I'm interested to hear what you think about the live review course - worth the money or not? Are there posts about the course?
