No medical advice, please lock this thread

Medical advice? I am not asking you to tell me if I should use it or not. I am already using it.

I want to know if these websites are good to buy from. Do they sell real drugs?

The first and third website doesn't even sound like a legit name... I wouldn't trust three of those websites...

Are there any places or websites where I can buy Latisse for cheaper? I currently pay $95 per bottle and that's bc the pharmacy manager is my good friend. It's usually $125+.

Why aren't you just getting eyelash extensions instead ?

As to your first question:

Look here.

As to the second part of your request. If you feel the need to use Latisse at 20 something years old, you will never have a happy life. It is such a sad commentary on our society that people your age are so misguided about what is really important.

You can't stop aging. Just face those facts. You have the body God or evolution gave you. Live with it and Live your life. If you understand the concept of living....

If you want some of my history with buying meds from Canada, you can recall this thread. I used a place called medstoreinternational.com. It was totally legit.

My how SHC1984's opinion changed over 2 years (from Mike's link)

I hope these drugs are NOT counterfeit drugs...we were just talking in class a few lectures ago about people selling counterfeit drugs online for cheap. It's something like 50% of drugs sold online is counterfeit. 😱 We were recommended to stay away from the internet for drugs.

Why? Why would my taxes be paying for someone on Medicaid to get Latisse 🙁

I'm still trying to figure that one out. I've only seen it once. The best I could come up with was perhaps the patient was getting recurrent infections in her eyes due to short eyelashes.

Hmm.. reading up on it. It also decreases IOP really well.

Yeah maybe you can get some generic Xalatan and just use that with the applicator.

My opinion still hasn't changed. Obviously it's best to buy a drug from a legit pharmacy VS the internet. And of course I know there are tons of fakes out there...that's why I am asking about them here! lol....HOWEVER, I am moving to Texas next month and I have to start paying my own bills! 🙁 So I can't afford to pay $95 or $125 for the rest of my life for a 3ml bottle. Therefore I am desperate now to look for an cheaper alternative.

Seems legit to me. 👍

I most likely will buy the one that sells the generic bottle for $29. If it doesn't work it's only $29 and I will know never to buy from the internet again. I'll call them first and ask them a few questions before I buy it too...

I am considering this. Do you do this? Do you think it's a better option?

Thank you so much for the information. 🙂 I looked on this website and it says to search for the drug you want and Latisse didn't come up in the search. 😕 I email them to ask them about it. This website looks a lot more LEGIT than the 3 I posted since this website actually requires a PRESCRIPTION!!! The websites I posted do NOT require a prescription so they seem kinda shady to me.

That's what happens when you pump and dump for test grades.

Again, I remember what I learn in school and my opinions of online drug purchases haven't changed...but I am a lot more desperate now to stay in budge then I was in the past....so I am looking for a cheaper alternative. I can remember what I learn, as far as I know I do not have alzheimer's disease. LOL...And I do NOT agree with ONLY straight A students pump and dump either. I think it's more the C students that do that.

I have. Medicaid. No, I'm not kidding (even though it sounds like it).

Can I get Medicaid? It's worth getting if it will just cover this drug for me! lol...

Yeah, but if they need it for glaucoma that's Lumigan, not Latisse. Or they should be getting generic latanoprost.

I need to ask my doctor to write me for latanoprost if all else fails. I can use that in place of Latisse and I think it should work the same.

Actually we learn in school that using Lumigan in the eyes will make your eyelashes grow even LONGER than putting them on the eyelids!

I'll most likely try that. Gotta talk to my doctor soon. Anyone here think I can try the first website since it's only $29 for one bottle? I don't think anyone can beat that! haha

Why are drugs so damn expensive? such a rip off! I use to pay $260 for a tube of Tazorac!

RIP OFF!

Thanks for the information.

I am trying to prevent aging....hence why I started using anti wrinkle eyecream when I was 24 yo. LOL

I don't know. Risking your health and money to save a couple dollars via online on a vanity drug seems like a change of opinion. How will you know if the knock off drug is working or not?

I guess you need to stay pretty if you wanna hook a sugar daddy

I would not buy from any of those three websites. I would be worried about (in this order):

1. Adulterated product making me go blind
2. My credit card getting stolen by shady website operators
3. Whatever I bought not working anyway

You want an expensive drug for cosmetic (non-medical) purposes. Suck it up and pay for it.

I will know if my eyelashes start falling out! 😱 Maybe it isn't worth the risk...I will be saving 95-29=66. $66 dollars though. I guess it might not be worth it.

🙁

Why do you always have to be right? LOL

Not those websites!

Maybe a verified online pharmacy. But I mostly just pick my stuff up locally at the store where I work. I either pay my insurance copay or cost, whichever is better.

I can't wait till I am done with school...our school offers the WORST insurance ever...doesn't cover hardly anything.

It's $545 a semester which is reasonable but it really doesn't cover much at all.

Luckily the only drugs I am on is BC and Latisse. I feel sorry for people on 10+ meds.

Tried generic Retin-A or Differin?

Come on, didn't you just have a rotation at a PBM? You should know all about therapeutic substitution.

I don't need that stuff anymore...this was back when I was a teenager (a million years ago) lol...

I use the cheapest BC now...Trisprintec and I will use generic Latisse if they had one.

Yeah I know about the substitution, but sometimes the more expensive stuff is better still...

Ok, well the big con is that in the US, the pharmaceutical companies charge way more for brand name drugs than they do in other countries for the exact same drug. And I'm talking about developed countries with the same high quality standards as the US, such as Canada, UK and Australia.

You can even look up the prices in Australia here: http://www.pbs.gov.au/pbs/home

Lumigan 0.03% A$42.24 (exchange rate is close to 1:1)
Seretide 250/50 (Advair) A$59.41

hard to believe you don't understand why drugs are so expensive in the U.S. Did you not learn about that in school? We had to memorize the whole drug development process.

Very few insurances cover purely cosmetic drugs without prior authorization.

Back in the days when Rogaine was RX, I saw it covered for a patient who lost their hair from chemo and it didn't grow back. That might be the case here too, or the patient might have some other type of alopecia.

There's two types of aging that I am combating and I wish insurance would cover the procedures.

#1 - Hair thinning in the frontal area. I wish insurance would cover a hair transplant.
#2 - Arthritis in the knees (at age 25, what the ****). I tore my ACL at age 17, didn't get the surgery to repair it until I was 23 and those 6 years essentially destroyed all the cartilage in my right knee. My left knee which was bearing most of the weight during that 6 year period also became arthritic. I want to get the experimental surgery that Kobe Bryant and Alex Rodriguez got (and it worked for them) but my insurance won't cover it.

I wished my insurance cover aczone gel and propecia propak 🙁 Seriously everytime I go to a pharmacy to pick it up I hear them telling me "oh your prescripts requries a PA" sigh...

I think we may have figured out your problem with the ladies...
