Does this count as a science LOR?

So bio lab at my school is a huge class that is composed of 2 types of class meetings. Recitation and lab each once a week. The professor teaches the recitation which is just a lecture with a bunch of students. The TA runs the actual lab and grades the assignments and decides final letter grades(based on guidelines from the professor). Also my TA for that lab is a bio professor at another college.(and he is a podiatrist) I had him write me a LOR, and asked him to have the professor sign it as well just to be safe, but the professor had already left for a different school at that point and neither of us was able to contact him. Do you think this could still count as a science LOR for DO schools?

Some schools will count a T.A. as a LOR from a "science professor" and some won't. You need to contact the schools you're applying to to be sure.
