I originally bought Crack DAT PAT and downloaded it to my PC laptop. Unfortunately, the laptop crashed and died unexpectedly. Crack DAT PAT doesn't let you download the software on more than one computer. So, I have to buy it again, and I didn't even get a chance to use it.

On their website, they recommend downloading it to a PC desktop computer since it is similar to testing conditions when taking the actual DAT. Now, the desktop PCs in my home are not very stable IMO. Should I go ahead and download it to one of those, or should I just use it on my Macbook (laptop)?

I know this seems like a stupid topic, but I don't want to drop $$$$$ on something that I might not be able to use later on b/c of unstable computers and annoying software licenses, and at the same time, I don't want to compromise on what might be an important factor (testing condition simulation).

E-mail them and explain they might let you get it again for free. If not they might give you a discount. If you never used it, then you never activated your key? So why can't you use it? Unless you did activate it.

there was a guy here about a month ago.... SAME exact problem, his PC (not labtop) crashed after installing CDP.... he contacted them and they actually sold him a 2nd copy for only $25..

From what I hear, CDP has excellent customer service, call them up and see what they say.

As far as PC vs laptop, it doesn't matter where you download it, this software trains your brain's 3-D mapping skills, it shouldn't matter where you do this sort of practice.

Okay, I'll try that. Thanks! And I did activate it (stupidly) so I will have to buy it again.

I recently went through the same thing. Had to reload Windows after already installing CDP and activating it. Here's their policy:

http://crackdat.com/support/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=38

They reissued me a key for 20% of my original purchase, which was the $100 version, so I only paid 20$ to get a new key...which I suppose isn't bad. I'm kind of curious as to how they track it...I think it has to do w/ the hard drives volume id that is regenerated each time you load Windows on to it...either way, customer service is great, you don't have to buy a whole new program, just for the new license.

Thanks for the info. I saw this on their website too. My receipt of the new computer is more than 3 weeks old, but I guess it's worth a try anyway.

Okay, so I got a reply from them. They said I can pay the support fee and get my original software back, OR I can buy Crack DAT Reading OR Math (not both) and not have to pay the support fee and also get my original PAT software back.

If I go with the second option, which one should I get? Which one would be more useful, Crack Reading or Math? I'm thinking Math...suggestions?

I only paid the support fee because I already had Math Destroyer...I guess if you dont have a math prep book/program already, then go for the math.
