Does time you applied to PsyD program matter?

I have a question - does the date you apply to PsyD programs matter? For instance, if you apply earlier are your chances of being admitted and receiving an interview better than if you apply closer to the deadline (like med schools)?

Just wondering.

I dont think so, although I could be wrong. I think it might help get your application reviewed sooner, and get a sooner invite to interviews, but idk.

I'm sure someone who knows more about it will chime in, too.

ETA: my impression is that a lot of med schools do rolling interviews, whereas most PsyD schools I've seen just have a specific date or dates that they do the interviews, so thats why I think there is not that much of a difference in when you send it.
