Plans for right now are to do a semester in Exercise Physiology since it's my major but also pretty cool and the a semester in the Molecular Bio department. I'm wondering if I should forget about the Phys. research and just stick with what's traditionally done because the Ex. Phys. research might be viewed as me just trying to do something to put additional research experience on my app. I'd definitely be able to explain why I chose to do it but if it isn't viewed as anything worthwhile in the eyes of the schools I'm applying to then I might as well stick to the traditional research areas. People do psych research so this can't be too bad... just looking for opinions.

do research in anything that interests you. it can help you stand out in interviews and give you something to talk about. plus any research experience is better than none so take any good opportunities that you can get and will enjoy.

personally i would like to research how krispy kream makes their donuts so dang good and glazed lol...that would definately give me something to talk about at an interview lol

Any research is okay. Like what the above said, do what interests you.
