Does UCLA actually require a transcript for the application to be complete? I only ask because I never received a completion e-mail, and then when I went back to the secondary e-mail, I saw:

The MSTP screening committee will be conducting the preliminary review of all our applicants through the month of December. Any additional information such as letters of recommendation, transcripts, publications, etc. must be sent to the MSTP office now at the address below.

I e-mailed the admissions office to ask them last week, but they never got back to me...I hate institutional red tape. Any help would be most appreciated!

Hmmm come to think of it I never got a complete email either. I will call tomorrow and let you know what I find out.

I emailed the MSTP office about this very question over the weekend. I still don't have a response from them, though, so I'd be interested if you find the answer.

I called this morning at 830 california time. No one answered so I left a message and am waiting to hear back. I will call again around 4pm california time.

Ok, I just got off the phone with them. No transcript is required now, they will write and request one from you when they need it (I am guessing if you are invited for an interview). And don't worry about not getting a complete email, they don't send them. You have to check the status page to see if you have submitted everything they asked for.

Thanks a lot for the info OncDoc. One less thing to worry about.
