Does it matter where you go for undergrad? I am particularly interested in attending CSULB instead of UCSC. Will it have a significant effect on the chances of admission? Thanks.

Overall, i would say NO. Go to whichever school you would rather go too. I graduated from a tough school (UCSD) and in retrospect i wish i would have gone to a slightly easier school because my gpa is a little low. Definitly if you graduated from Harvard, or Yale or some ivy league then it helps for sure. Otherwise its mostly a numbers game. Some adcoms take your school into consideration, but overall, its all about the gpa (and DAT scores.)

Sorry, I made the same thread twice; this one may close.

mooredge, thanks for your advice.
