Sorry for posting again so soon but I just thought of a really important question. Right now I'm a psych major, which is great because I get a ton of easy As. Unfortunately, a lot of the classes I'd like to take are in the college of nursing. I'm about to transfer universities and I got to thinking if maybe I should switch majors as well.

What do you think? Does a nursing major say "I really want to be a nurse" or "I have a profound interest in medicine" or "I should have kept my psych major and my nice GPA"?

Thanks, and sorry again.

Major doesnt matter too much in the grand scheme of things. Whats more important is doing well (high GPA) and having a good MCAT.

If you have other interests, might as well pursue those as well in terms of minors. This is often a topic of conversation at interviews, since interviewers get tired of talking about biology 24-7.

do what you want to do. learn what you want to learn. don't do anything because of what med schools will think. do what you want, not what they want. if what you want isn't what they want, then you don't actually want to be a doctor after all.
