Just curious about this- what statistics do medical schools see after match? for example, do they get statistics such as "1/3 students who applied to plastics from _____ school matched" or that sort of thing? Do they see what specialties applicants in the class applied to?

They definitely know whether or not you have "certified" your list (because someone in my class was called by the Dean stating his list wasn't "certified" yet). However, I don't know if they can actually see what field you are applying to, or if you applied to multiple fields, etc.

I don't know about the first part, but I am pretty sure they see what specialty and program you matched to. This information is made available to the entire medical school class through our student affairs website.
