How problematic is it that my sub-i is not until january? I have read different threads about how programs really can look at that evaluation when ranking. I dont know how possible (or impossible) it would be to try and beg to switch mine to an earlier time slot, maybe November if I beg and plead.
Can anyone give some info or insight about this?
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

Its only problematic if you were hoping for:

a) a LOR from that program for ERAS
b) hoping to use the sub-I as an "audition" rotation.

January is frankly too late for most programs to consider you as a potential residency candidate. They have to submit their ROL in mid-Feb just as you do and most interviews will be over by mid January - before you finish your rotation. So if you have any interest in using this rotation as such, I would switch it (and November is frankly probably too late as well)
