I just finished the second DAT yesterday.

Here is my score.
Bi/GC/OC/RC/QR/PA/TS/Overall
25/27/25/14/23/27/26/23 <--- Second DAT from yesterday.
21/21/25/13/22/22/22/20 <--- this is the first one.

I really need your advice BC of my reading score (14).
Since I am not a native speaker, RC score was usually lower than others in practice tests, but not that low like in real test. It was usually above 17 in practice.

I heard below 15 is failing point. My friend said that detal schools don't accept DAT score if at least one subject score is below 15 even though overall is good. Is it true?
Do you think I should retake?

I am so disappointed to myself.

I am not a native speaker either. I got 250/800 on English part of SAT when i was in high school. The only reason I have 3.78 GPA instead of 4.0 GPA is because I got B and C in two of the english classes I had. Just in case, if you have an interview, they may gonna ask you about reading section, then try to convince them. I think that's the best way. But your other sections are incredibly high.

hey newspaper, we're on the same boat... i have 20+ on all except RC 16. Im retaking it in september. if i were you, i wouldn't retake since other scores are soo high already! just get ready for the interview..

every applicant has at least one weakness point, and yours (and mine) happen to be reading, i really hope dental schools recognize and understand that. we're not native speakers, yes we got low RC but doesn't mean we can't read! we work hard on everything else, and that shows our determination.

so don't waste ur $$ retaking it for the third time.

Congrats. Great scores.

Great scores. Dental schools will definitely notice your very high scores in the sciences.

Dude you guys are all weird. You seriously are retaking the dang thing just because of some stupid reading score. Dental Schools don't care about that score. Helloooooo Did you guys happen to notice your other scores. If you guys are this self critical, you don't belong in a dental school. All you guys think is that perfection is your only option. You're not machines. You're not supposed to act like machines. Dental schools don't want machines. they want people that can sit in front of them and make them feel like you haven't been in front of textbooks your whole lives. If you're expecting perfection in everything you do and won't accept failure for nothing, then you're going into the wrong field because in this field, you can't please everyone. You need to be able to walk away from your efforts proud and happy. If you didn't measure up in every category, step back and look at how well you exceeded expectations in all the other categories. Show the dental schools how confident you are. Don't walk in there with your heads hung low when you have 20+ scores on your paper. Relax and quit being so hard up. Man it just irritates me when smart people aren't confident, when there's people around them everywhere that would give anything for their scores. All's you want to make other people do is throw up......hhhhuuuoooooowwwwwwllllllllll

Oh, I cannot even believe these scrores, they are one of the best scores I ever seen. You definitly not need to take DAT, I personaly ask them, since English is my second language, they told me that they understand that, so you better talk with them. I am pretty sure you wont have any problem
:luck: , good luick
