Does anyone know where you could find competition statistics for the Doris Duke... I've looked on their website as well as those of the individual schools and haven't been able to find it...

I've actually read that article, but I don't remember seeing specific statistics (applicants per school vs. accepted, just that competition varied from school to school.)
