Hi,
I'm entering med sch this august and was wondering what I should:
1) bring to school/dorm/campus
2) stock up my dorm with, once i get there.
Thanks!!!
Hi there,
Things that I found necessary for the "Dorm" (actually it was gradate housing on campus).
A bed rest for the bed so that I could read in bed.
A very strong floor lamp for reading with a very bright bulb.
Book shelves from IKEA (you can have these shipped and put them together).
A good bed with a good mattress set (three sets of sheets, a down comforter, at least four very soft pillows). (You can have the bed delivered too).
A WaterPik shower head that delivers a needle-sharp spray (for getting up and going in the morning).
My own coffee maker (two-cup variety) so I could get out the door with a hot cup of joe in hand)
My music equipment with noise-cancelling head phones so I could have a peaceful environment (the Ipod works well for this and you can use it in the library).
Things I purchased when I got there:
Pots and pans as needed.
Food that I just liked keeping around (mostly Power Bars and fruit).
A small refridgerator (you don't need the lock)
Roach spray
Cleaning supplies (KaBoom for the bathroom and assorted sponges, Clorox)
A laundry basket.
A change jar for quarters for the washer and dryer
A very large white board with dry erase markers for writing down important dates and concept mapping.
A motion alarm for my laptop computer.
You are likely going to be using your room for sleep and shower. The library or one of the empty classrooms will be a better study option.
