Hi all,

I looked through old threads but couldn't find anything that really answered my question. I was wondering if any of you know a DO involved in any type of research (clinical, or strictly lab work).

At my interviews they said that osteopathy isn't big on research yet, but I'm hoping someone out there knows a DO doing something research-oriented.

Thanks!

There are plenty of DO's during research. In fact, some DO schools have combined DO/PhD programs.

Yeah, I know about DO/PhDs.....I guess I meant people with just a DO degree (no PhD).

thanks though. 🙂

Hi,
Research whether that be clinical, laboratory, or other is really up to the doctor whether that be MD or DO. It has a lot to do with resources and time availability rather than any other topic. I have actually met quite a few DOs that have done research and continue to do it in one facet or another. If you really want to do research then you can.
Hope that helps
