Your experience with or anecdotal information about Doximity Fax application would be most appreciated.
I love it! I don't do much faxing, but when I have to this makes it much easier. It basically turns faxing into the equivalent of securely emailing PDFs. It's also free.
Full disclosure: I hate traditional faxing. It's basically emailing sensitive documents directly to a printer and then leaving them there for hours. It also fails way too often and thus takes way too long.
I don't know how to fax, I've tried to learn it multiple times but because I hate it so much, my mind actively tries to not learn it! I just hate it so much.
Wait, what? Can you dial a phone number on a phone? Because, if you can do that and put a sheet of paper on a tray, you can fax.
You would think, but the fax machine remains one of the most mysterious things in the hospital to me
The first issue is do you have to enter 9 first? or even the country code 1 first?Wait, what? Can you dial a phone number on a phone? Because, if you can do that and put a sheet of paper on a tray, you can fax.
I'm assuming it's not lack of ability, it's resistance (to doing something unpleasant albeit usually necessary--how does anyone finish med school or residency without learning how to fax?!)The first issue is do you have to enter 9 first? or even the country code 1 first?
The second issue is filling out a cover sheet, and the time involved.
The third issue is waiting to see if it truly goes thru, and being suspicious if it actually does. Thus more time involved.
I too used to be in the oblivious, fax hating crowd.
Online fax machines are good way to fix that problem.
