Doximity stock?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Don't know why the meteoric rise. I'm not good at stocks but I'm not that impressed with doximity... I think it's overvalued

They had a good earning report 2 days ago. Revenues doubled year over year and existing accounts grew significantly.

i can totally see doctors going against doximity in the future. another way of using doctor info to make $$$. some doctors may not like the idea of people in suits making millions off them. personally i dont really use doximity at all except for occasional CME.

I guess they make most of their money selling targeted ads to hospital systems and pharmaceutical companies

$92 now. I don’t understand it but am enjoying the ride.
Hospital systems are currently undertaking widespread adoption of integrating telehealth systems into the electronic health record. For ours there’s a new button allowing you to connect for telehealth.

Good move!
Not really, I picked some up late in the day thinking it hit a low but ended up losing out. Hopefully it will bounce back tomorrow. It was a rough day overall for me so I need a big win before the weekend.

This is true.

That was posted a week before their earnings statement which they blew out of the water which was pretty obviously going to happen. Seemed kind of like intentional market manipulation to drop the price prior to their earnings posted.

It’s also not an anonymous forum. It’s physicians not hiding their positions. Obviously, physicians say some questionable stuff in real life at the hospital as well. I find it comical when a journalist with no medical training whatsoever gets praised for a clearly politically motivated stance that also discredits medical training.

Does anyone trust the comments section anywhere for reliable takes?

I seriously question the knowledge or integrity of any physician that is anti-covid vax. Like legitimately worry about them. They are either stupid or dishonest.

Sure. I agree we should get vaccinated, but the authors own example of misinformation is the effing definiton of politically driven misinformation. Here’s a direct quote from the article and the actual evidence below it:

“Malarik read directly from several comments posted by people with the initials M.D. or D.O., which indicates doctor of osteopathic medicine, after their names. There’s no anonymity on the site, so everyone is identified. In the posts, they refer to the vaccines as experimental, unproven or deadly and occasionally write “Fauxi” when talking about Dr. Anthony Fauci, the White House chief medical advisor.

Some commenters say that antibodies from contracting Covid are more effective than the messenger RNA, or mRNA, vaccines, which instruct human cells to make specific proteins that produce an immune response to the disease.”

“The natural immune protection that develops after a SARS-CoV-2 infection offers considerably more of a shield against the Delta variant of the pandemic coronavirus than two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, according to a large Israeli study that some scientists wish came with a “Don’t try this at home” label. The newly released data show people who once had a SARS-CoV-2 infection were much less likely than never-infected, vaccinated people to get Delta, develop symptoms from it, or become hospitalized with serious COVID-19.”

No one knows. Just make sure you buy high and sell low lol. Their PE ratio is 244 and Market cap is 8.6 Billion. I just don't see them doubling anytime soon. At least they are profitable unlike a lot of "growth" companies.
Now 18+ billion. This market is insane.
