Hi all!
I'm new to the site and this is my first post! I'm looking for some insight on a few schools. I've started receiving some acceptance letters from schools at which I've interviewed. However, I still have a handful of schools I've yet to visit or interview with. Some of the interviews are scheduled for early January, just a few weeks before the security deposit is due at most schools.

Thus, in the interest of making my perspective on each school a little clearer, I'd like to hear the pros, cons, and anything in between about the schools. I'd also appreciate it if I could possibly ask specific questions (probably through PM) about your respective experiences. The list of schools I'm currently interested in is shown below. If you are a current student or graduate of one of the schools on this list, I'd love to hear your honest opinion, as well as specifically what the main reason was as to why you chose that program. I know this is all subjective, but I think it'll still help in my decision-making process to hear from individuals who have personal experiences with each institution.

Northwestern University
Thomas Jefferson University
Temple University
University of New England
Arcadia University
Widener University
University of Rhode Island
Rutgers University (south Campus)

I am not familiar with all of these schools! However, I can give you insight on Arcadia and Thomas Jefferson.

I visited Arcadia last summer and it is awesome. Its a very small campus in a suburb outside of Philly. The students were very enthusiastic and seemed to really like it. They have a very unique way or organizing their curriculum that is complicated for me to explain, but worth the research. They also have a lot of service opportunities for their students, even several that are abroad.

Thomas Jefferson is a great school with a lot of resources being it is surrounded by a huge medical/hospital network. It is in a very busy part of the city with sirens going off and craziness happening all the time. For me not being used to the city life, it was a lot for me to handle. However, the facilities were very nice and I got to sit in on a lab that was pretty interesting.

Let me know if you want any further information! 🙂

Thank you for your response! I will look deeper into the Arcadia and its curriculum; I haven't visited that particular school yet, so the insight you provided was very helpful!

Go to the cheapest school you get into after factoring in cost of living. There are no mandatory residency programs which you have to place into after graduation like medschools so saving money is the top priority since PT salary is not the greatest compared to school costs.
