We're supposed to hear this week, as I recall. Ahhh-- I just want to know! Has anybody heard back yet?
Nope, I doubt anyone has heard anything yet since they are supposedly meeting today to make the decisions. And from from past cycles they have mailed everything instead of emailing. So we might not hear till next week, but we can hope!!

I wish they would let us know now 🙁 I hate waiting for the mail

I wonder if they update the "status" on the graduate school application in a timely manner?

Ahhhh-- next week!?! But I could barely make it to this week. I think I might implode from all the anticipation!

I wonder why they still do snail mail. Maybe huskies don't know how to send emails. I guess it would be difficult for them to type since they don't have opposable thumbs for the space bar. 😛

PT2017-- good point! I'll have to start obsessively checking that now...

PT2017 was right! They posted the decisions on there already, or at least mine was posted. Check your grad school app site! 🙂.

SO EXCITED!!!!

Dang. Mine still just states submitted & paid. My number one school would be UW, but on the bright side I just received my acceptance email for Puget Sound.

Aw, I'm sorry, man! Maybe they will post it tomorrow. Congrats on getting into Puget Sound!

Where does it say on your status? Because mine says "Receipt of this item is not tracked" and I emailed/talked to them on the phone back in Sep and they said I had everything in.....

SeaPT-- it told me after I clicked on "status." It took me to a new page I hadn't seen before. I contacted Laura about it saying "this item is not tracked" awhile ago-- apparently that doesn't mean anything, so don't worry.

Thank you for the feedback, I guess it is probably not a good sign that mine hasnt changed yet 🙁. Congrats though!! Thats exciting!!

Congrats!! Would you mind posting your stats?

SeaPT-- Thanks. And maybe they will post it tomorrow-- who knows how those huskies operate?!

Thanks, and no problem. Good luck!

Overall GPA: 3.53
Pre-req GPA: 3.79
GRE: Q153 V169 AW5.0
Extra-Curric: a lot of clubs and tutoring stuff, also was an RA in undergrad.
Volunteer and observation hours: 100+ outpatient, 4 inpatient (hard to find places that will let me), 100+ hospice volunteer, and PT aide work through my job

Congrats to those accepted. See you in Seattle!!!!!! So excited

Is UW your top choice? Are you not from Seattle either? I'm from Cleveland and need to get out there to legit check out the school. The cost of living seems crazy to a bumpkin like me!

It is my top choice, I am from Oregon originally so it is close to home. Yeah it is expensive, but Seattle is such a cool town and the campus is amazing. I have not checked out their actual facilities yet though.

Oooh- Oregon. Good stuff. Congrats on your acceptance! I hope to see you there. 🙂

I just checked the status of my application online, nothing has changed. I'm taking that as bad news for me, but we'll see.

I'm in your same boat, no change on the status change. Denied, waitlisted? Only time will tell.

I live in Seattle and I just received my letter through snail mail that I am on the alternate list. Congrats to all those that got in! But if you don't want to go to UW, please give those of us who desperately do, a chance!

Congratulations on the waiting list though! Being waitlisted is still leaps and bounds better than simply denied.

I live in California, so maybe the mail will come in soon as well.

What does it say when you click status on your UW Grad application?

Ugh! I live in Seattle too and now i'm all anxious to get off work and check the mail! Good luck everyone!

Has anyone not from Washington received mail from UW?

I'm in AZ. No mail, no change on the UW grad school application page. Nothing.

California here as well, didn't receive anything yet. Was it good or bad news, kapoyah?

Oh it was good news, but I already knew due to the application site

For those of you who have been accepted...does all of your online application status' say "Accepted". Mine has always been "Receipt of this item is not tracked" and I'm wondering if I should take that as a bad sign.

PDX2014-- I contacted Laura about it saying "this item is not tracked" awhile ago-- apparently that doesn't mean anything, so don't worry. Some other people haven't seen a change in their pages either, but who knows how long it takes them to update peoples' pages or what process they are using-- I don't think it's a bad sign.

Also, concerning the out-of-state snail mail-- I still haven't gotten my letter yet and I'm in Cleveland.

I was wait listed for UW this week but accepted to UPS, EWU, and Regis university. While making my decisions for where I will accepted I spoke with a lot of students that either go tonUW, have friends there in their PT program and what not....the overall message I got from those conversations is that they didn't like UW's PT program. If you really like research a lot then go to UW, but if you really want to hands on learn more don't. I also have heard that The PT program there is like the red headed step child. It isn't the forefront of their school which makes it kinda of just something they added on after the fact. Just please before you make a choice decide if research is something you are truly wanting to focus on..the things I have heard have literally pushed me to send in the letter that says I want to be taken off the wait list. Cuz I am truly no longer interested.

Soccerlover233-- thanks so much for that info! I have heard that it is a research-oriented school, but haven't really gotten a sense of how the students feel about the program. Did you find that information out from people on this forum or from other sources you know personally? I know nobody personally who has gone there or visited, plus I haven't visited the school yet and I want to see for myself. But it is really nice to actually get some information from someone other than the school itself! So thanks!

Otherwise, just got my letter today in the mail. Has anyone contacted Laura about visiting?

I heard it from people who have friends who are in the program. So 2nd hand. It's worth going to see yourself...when you're there try to get some students talking about how they really feel

well this makes the sting of getting my official denial e-mail today a little less bad. still stings though.

What the hell. Haven't heard anything from them. Via email or snail mail....

Was your denial email from UW? I still haven't heard anything from them... Starting to get a bit worried. Sounds like everyone is receiving mail; accepting, waitlisted and denied.

I called to hear to ask about a decision regarding my application. I knew the admissions committee had completed the decisions, and I couldn't take waiting any longer. I received a denial via email a couple days later.

It was an e-mail. I got it on a Sunday, which I found weird.

Have not heard anything either! I wonder why they are holding some of the applications without sending out the decisions. It seems there's no point in holding applications once they send out their acceptances and waitlist, unless they want to make a waitlist for the waitlist, or something.

In my wait list letter they have a paper that asks me if I want to decline the wait list. So I wonder if that is why they are waiting to notify everyone. Honestly you should just call the program and ask the status of your application.

Hmm well, UW did have to go through 72 people on the alternate list last year, so they could be delaying notifications in case they have to go through even more.

I just spoke with someone who said the letters go out in waves. So I guess we just keep waiting..

Can anyone give me some good points about UW's PT program? I am from Texas and am between UW and Regis University in Colorado. My concern is the tuition jump. Does anyone know if UW gives out decent financial aid?

Hey everybody-- got back from my visit to Seattle and the UW campus a few days ago. Just letting you know that I'm giving up my spot, so hopefully that will help somebody on here out. If anybody wants any info concerning my take on UW, feel free to ask.

What was your experience that caused you to turn away a spot?
