While already on probation for Emmalyn Nguyen's cardiac arrest... another unnamed patient went into cardiac arrest... another case of bad judgement... OMG WTFFFFFFFF BBQ

This Geoffrey Kim clown needs to have his license permanently revoked...

And the CRNA or anesthesiologist involved? They should be investigated for this as well

The actual incident occurred in October 2020 while Kim was on probation related to Nguyen's cardiac arrest. Documents obtained by 9NEWS Investigates indicate that a woman went into cardiac arrest during a procedure on Oct. 14, 2020. According to the letter, which ordered Kim's license to be suspended, chest compressions were given for several minutes until the patient was successfully resuscitated. The letter says that multiple providers noted "disbelief" in her hospital chart that she had "walked in" for care. It goes on to say that an ambulance should have been called and that the patient had just emerged from anesthesia and was not in a position to make decisions about her medical care. There were also "significant" discrepancies related to the length of resuscitation the patient received. The hospital note indicated it was 30 seconds, while an anesthesia record documented it lasted four minutes. The letter says the decision not to contact EMS was a "significant error" and a "clear violation" of the standard of care.

For those of you who don't know about the infamous Dr Geoffrey Kim, convicted felon:

Office-based anesthesia should be banned.

BTW, his google reviews are excellent!

That’s really on anesthesia as well. We share in the responsibility of the patients.

Bad luck. Honestly the first one was mostly Rexys fault. He gave all the drugs and then left the patient. Yes kim should have definitely called ambulance, but the damage was done. This i don't know

With Emmalyn he was found criminally responsible not because of the cardiac arrest, but because he showed such indifference to her welfare and obstructed efforts to get her to help in hospital afterward. The same could be said in this other case.. albeit to a lesser extent

It’s was just a minor cardiac arrest. No big deal. Follow up with primary care within 7 days ;)

No anesthesia team this time? I wonder if he switched to directing RNs to giving fentanyl and versed

The article didn't really say... i find it hard to believe a competent anesthesia professional would discharge a patient and let them be driven by private vehicle to the ER. u have some extra info about the anesthesia care for this incident?
