looks to be about awareness under anesthesia. I'm sure it will be a cogent analysis of a real but very rare problem, supported by data and commentary from an actual anesthesiologist. But, just in case it's not, maybe people should watch it and comment to the ASA and the producers.

Dr. Oz believes in alternative medicine hahahahah. His wife is like some Reiki master hahahahahahahahaha!

Well, the guy is buddies with Michael Roizen, right? Maybe Roizen will be on the show and the ASA won't have to expend energy and money correcting a bunch of BS spouted on the air.

But I wouldn't get my hopes up.

That's garbage.
As Oz books.
" Apr 27, 2010 – TFT-Algo Practitioner, Dr. Jeanette Magdalene will be appearing on Dr. Oz - Wed.
Dr. Magdalene is internationally recognized for her breakthrough work in anesthesia. She has provided over 15 years of counseling along with medical and public education throughout the US and Europe."

"The medical community has often found great benefit in having Dr. Magdalene involved in both pre-operative and post-operative surgeries. "
I think she's really good at writing down vitals. Phd....

post call today, found it on when flipping channels, Pretty short spot. Of course the women on there was giving a vivid picture of what happened, Pretty horrifying experience. Bad part was how she described the Anesthesiologist and the nurses talking about her breasts. The pt never described what the issue was that caused her to be aware, ie what was her BP , her MAC etc. Overall they seemed to blame that some pts require more than what is estimated.

Dr Roizen, was pretty straight forward, was a little disappointed that he spent time talking about the BIS and how pts should ask if one will be used.

Whenever the media addresses this subject it's usually not about science or trying to educate people, it is about drama and using fear to desperately increase ratings.
There are a few crazy women out there that claim that they were butchered awake or that their eye balls were pulled out while paralyzed who keep appearing on these shows and supply the needed dramatic material.
These women coincidentally fit the usual profile of Fibromyalgia/ chronic fatigue/ PTSD/ multiple drug allergies that we are all familiar with.

"the medical community has often found great benefit in having Dr. Magdalene involved in both pre-operative and post-operative surgeries."

So, just what exactly is pre-operative surgery and post-operative surgery?

Is it the same women every time or just the same type of woman?
