Hi,
I wanted to share three effective reading strategies that can be used for an admission test like the DAT. Out of these reading strategies it is up to you to figure out what works best for you. A way to figure it out is by practicing all strategies and seeing which way you get the highest score.
Since the DAT questions are in order of the reading passage. The first strategy is to read the first 2 paragraph, then answer as many questions as you can until you can't, then go back and read the next couple of paragraphs. The second strategy is to read the first question then look for the answer, but start by reading at the beginning of the passage and work your way down. The third reading strategy is to read the entire passage, next answer the questions.
Reading Tip: Always read the title, so you know what the reading passage is about.
Dr. Gavin Putzer has many more reading strategies in his awesome book. Let a doctor from Harvard teach you the way to a high, well- rounded DAT score.
This book also includes sections in Mathematics, General Chemistry I & II, Organic Chemistry, General Biology, Biochemistry, and Physiology.
Who wants this book? Make an offer!!! You have nothing to lose except extra points on your DAT or OAT.
Dr. Putzer doesn't babysit forums and doesn't manipulate people on the internet. If you ever write negative feedback on certain products being sold, it'll get deleted quickly.
