I am going to rotate at MD Anderson later this Summer and was wondering if there is a special dress code for guys. Suits? Just shirt and tie? Thanks!

A button down shirt, denim pants, leather boots, bolo tie, and a six shooter. Spurs optional.

I actually laughed out loud. One of the very few times I would almost be willing to use the ridiculous initialism, "lol."

Well done Gfunk.

When I interviewed there it seemed mostly business casual (I don't think most of the resident were wearing ties) but it was Friday so I don't know if that played any role in it. A suit would be overkill but I'd start out with a shirt and tie.

Or go with gfunk's dress suggestion!

LOL. agreed! I practically spit my drink on my screen.

Shirt and tie, short lab coat.
If you wear a hat, make sure it's a Stetson.
Good luck!

Actually, all candidates are judged strictly on the size and number of rhinestones in their belt buckle...anything smaller than a hubcap gets you on the "don't interview, not a good fit for the program" list. Also, Gfunk was mistaken, spurs are required but the leather chaps are optional.

Anyone recently rotate at MDACC? I had a few questions:

1. What was the earliest time you got there? I wanted to live with a friend who is a fellow at MDACC and it would be easy to commute with him.
2. Did you buy the recommended text? I really like Haffty and the Stanton physics book, so Im not sure I want to shell out more for another book.
3. How was your experience?

Thanks!
