Hi All!

I am a current MPH graduate student with the goal of applying to med school next year if all goes well.
I am wondering if dropping a class in grad school (with a W) will impact my chances. I decided to take a course outside of my school focusing on global health technology and am feeling pretty overwhelmed with the amount of work it entails and have lost interest in the topic (it is more technical than I thought it would be).
As it stands, I already got a B in Biostatistics last semester and my undergrad GPA is not the greatest (cGPA: 3.37, sGPA: 3.16) but I think I have a pretty solid background and experience.

Thoughts?

A single W is rarely ever a problem. What will be a problem is your undergraduate GPA. An MPH simply doesn't help when it comes to making up for a poor science GPA. Even if you apply Osteopathic, you're on the lower end of possibilities.
