Drug Database applications for iPhone?

Decided to finally get that PDA, but my last phone just keeled over and got an iPhone instead (2 in one!) The thing is, does anyone know any drug database applications that run on iPhone?

I know that ePocrates is having something come along the way thanks to the people in the medical field signing a petition.

Yea I have an iPhone too and am interested in this. It would have to be some internet version of it in pdf form or, like they said, we have to wait for Apple to release an SDK for it so they can make a program for it. If not I'll buy a cheap or used palm pda and put it on that.

I have been trying to find ways to use my iphone for pharmacy too. No luck yet. If epo offers it, i would be paying premium price as going online and trying to look up the information is too slow fo me.

is not that bad or slow. Pretty usable ... maybe when Apple releases the iPhone SDK this coming january we'll se a downloadable version 🙂

I have an iphone and could not live without it!!!!!!!

I heard on the news that apple is comming out with a 3g version this summer and dropping the price...I dont know if that is true...but

I do know that the june update will no longer require to access the internet to use programs such as epocrates.....(atleast thats what the guy at the apple store told me)

so im super excited for that!!

for those who dont have an iphone yet...get one- they are amazing🙂 everything alll in one

Drugs.com has just launched an iphone optimized version for medical professionals. It includes predictive search, built in drug interactions, and warnings for almost all medications prescribed in the U.S.

Hey, on a fluke chance tonight I was updating my music collection and noticed that iTunes 7.7 is out. It took awhile to download the update, but looks awesome.

Anyways... I checked the iTunes store and Epocrates was chilling on the main page. You can access it via the following:

iTunes Store --> App Store --> Healthcare & Fitness --> Epocrates

Only downside that I can see is that it requires the iPhone 2.0 software upgrade. If you don't have it, you may have to shell out a little cash for the cool features. On the flipside, at least Epocrates is free!!

iTunes says that it was released July 5th. Happy hunting folks. 😀

I had a chance to install the iPhone 2.0 software update late last night and install Epocrates on there.

Let me tell you it is freakin' awesome! 👍

Full monographs of the entire Epocrates data base along with a one touch update.

There is also an interactions program that works really well the iPhone interface.

Finally there is a full pill identification engine along with full photos for each drug.

Definitely a must have if you happen to have an iPhone.

I just downloaded epocrates for my iPod touch and it is amazing! I would highly recommend either the touch or the iPhone. I already feel like I couldn't possibly live without it.
