I plan on taking the DAT this June (and applying this May). It seems they decided to ban paper so people couldn't use it to compare angles.

Smudges going to drive me crazy though

What do you guys think?

Though it's annoying for everybody, as a lefty I'm having nightmares of resting my hand on and smearing what I just wrote during the test.

It's not a HUGE deal, and I'll tough it out, but I still feel that it is a more than trivial disadvantage for us lefties.

If all prometric testing centers have the same or similar "cubicle" stations to sit at, I think the right handed testee (no pun intended), would be at a greater disadvantage because they would have to reposition the mouse/mousepad each time they wrote something, and then back again to continue scrolling, etc. This would take precious time.

I can't believe I just made that argument...

I think its a bottomline problem in any case. When I was taking the test, I had make the space,so i could fit everything in....it sucked bad....specially with one of my dry-erase dried coz i had left it open. So, I started using the other one...oh and while doing math...i had to switch back and forth between the 2 sheets coz there wasn't enough space on one to do all the calc and overall...its just a s***** idea!!!

Haha that's a good point though. Not having to take my hand off the mouse for most of the test is definitely nice.

heh...

I just moved the keyboard over to the side of the monitor and put my laminated sheet in front of me, left the mouse where it was.
