I wanted to find out the breakdown of the dually accredited peds program. I have seen pros/cons/overall opinions of most of the allopathic peds programs that I have applied to. However, I haven't seen any info on the dual/osteopathic programs. If you have in depth analysis of these types of programs, please post it here. What are the unique aspects that apply to osteopathic side of things? Are there specific osteopathic aspects of the program or do the programs just fulfill the osteopathic required internship year? Is there actual emphasis on OMT in the curriculum? More specifically, I'm looking for personal accounts/interview day impressions about the following dually accredited peds programs:
1 -UMDNJ-SOM/Cooper Childrens Regional - Camden, NJ
2- Good Samaritan Hospital/Winthrop - West Islip, NY
3- Newark Beth Israel/St. Barnabas - Newark, NJ
4- UMDNJ-SOM/Jersey Shore Medical Center - Neptune, NJ
5- NYCOM/Maimonides - Brooklyn, NY
6- OUCOM Doctor's Hospital/Nationwide Children's - Columbus, OH
7- University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center/Rainbow Babies - Richmond Heights/Cleveland, OH
8- NSUCOM/Miami Children's - Miami, FL
* Please use the pros/cons/overall opinion format
Thank you for your help and input
