hey all, ive been studying for CK out of a couple of books and can't seem to find a straight answer regarding what is the first diagnostic test to make a diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy, is it to do the DNA test or to do the Muscle Biopsy?

I'd go with DNA/genetic test first to look for the deleted dystrophin gene. Less invasive than the muscle biopsy. Just my .02!

yep genetic testing deficiency or defective dystrophin gene at Xq21.2

I would go with muscle biopsy, atleast that's what my doctor books say.
