OK,I have no idea how to start reading the First Aid(FA)-I am in my first semester.

The uploaded attachment talks about clinical vignettes for Anatomy.

Please,ADVISE ,how to study them, are they to be memorised?

How did experienced folks study their First Aid,please share your experience.
I ask this because there are such vignettes for Physio,Pharm,Patho etc, etc, in the FA,and since I am in the first semester, the vignettes are not making sense.............see the attached upload below.

Thanks

I know a lot of people will disagree with me on this one, but I think its way too early to be reading FA right now. 90% of what's in FA won't make any sense until 2nd year, so I wouldn't sweat it if its all jibberish to you right now. You'll see all of those clinical issues again in 2nd year, and the pathophys will be explained at that time, so I wouldn't spend too much time reviewing what you haven't even been taught fully yet. In first year, the clinical vignettes are kind of like teasers for what you'll study (and understand) in 2nd year.

I know that I used First Aid last year a few time for some basic stuff but it wasnt' till this year that I have fully come to appreciate First Aid and how increadibly packed with information that it is.

First year it's nice to get an older cheap copy just to get familiar with the book and then second year get a current edition and start paying more attention to it.

Can't you reason a lot of these out? A lot of it has to do with anatomy... "lateral leg" => common peroneal nerve => problems with dorsiflexion. "Medial meniscus" => ACL associated with it...

I wouldn't memorize, just work on understanding. Some of these require more understanding of path, but I'm sure you can still get a lot of these anyway.
