Hi, I am an unintelligent dummy. Just got my step 2 CK grade back and I did abysmal. Got a 211. This was after getting a 234 on my Step 1. I am an IMG and not only did I just shoot myself in the foot, but I basically did a BKA on myself. I was trying to graduate on time and match for 14 so I rushed everything and didn't took two weeks off to study, only did four rotations before taking the exam, didn't complete u-world so now I am basically screwed. Just sharing my misfortune. No matter how badly you feel you may have messed something up, at least know you are not me.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Nothing you can do now.

Did you take any practice tests beforehand? What was your uworld average?

Yeah but you passed man. Haha it might not mean much, but its better than failing right? Sucks if you do want to do something competitive, but you will still be a physician. Good luck!

Hey, all I want to do is primary practice. I want to be the community physician for a small town, that's my dream, that's all I wanted to be. That's my orthopedic surgery/dermatology. If I can just do that after completely messing up this exam I will be ecstatic...

Go to: http://www.nrmp.org/data/

Scroll down to "Charting Outcomes of the Match: 2011" and look at page 71. Look at the mean Step 2 score for matched independent applicants going into Family Medicine. It's 208! Share your dreams in your personal statement. I believe you will match and achieve your dreams.

Appreciate you telling me about that list rebs! I really had a long day today after seeing my grade but that helped me out a bit 🙂
