how many of you have "hit on" female applicants? Would that be going too far at such a monumental stage? Or would it just demonstrate "outgoing" personality? It's my understanding that there is ample waiting time for socialization at the interview.

Not during the interview, but in the first year of dental school I had heard of someone asking a female student out on a date (on a few different occasions). She kept denying him and he was asking himself what was wrong with him. Turned out that later during the year, his "prospect" introduced him to her girlfriend at one of the dental school events. haha.
