Do any other schools out there use DXR clinician?

This has got to be the dumbest computer program ever invented.

Oh yeah...we use it. Great idea poor execution, just like so many things at this school. It could be a great learning tool, but the damn thing is so stupid. We basically spend most of our time trying to figure out the way the computer wants things instead of thinking through the problems. Most of the time we are wrong by the the computer but totally correct in reality. It is the bane of our existance!

I was told that I would get a makeup case, but I don't know when. Stupid ER case. I get in trouble for doing too many tests, but apparently when you're in the ER you just throw the book at a possible PE when the screening tests are negative.

I like creating threads that interest very few people on this site. Kind of like the old days when there were so many Pikeville Bashing threads that were so enjoyable to be a part of.

DMU uses this program, but it is more of an additional learning tool for us. We are, however, tested on Dx & management of the cases presented.

Yeah we use it and it took our class about 3 patients a some very poor grades before we learned how to use it. But in NSU fashion no one ever showed us how, they just say oh yeah thats due next week here's the website. "Show you how to use it? **** you we already got your money!"

I 3rd that notion. That thing has to be the bane of my existence lately, I didn't put in ONE word on my last diagnosis and got it WRONG. I'm still wondering if the school realizes that some of the cases don't exactly pertain to the rotation that I'm doing when they assign it.

They make you guys do the cases while you are on rotations??? That is just asinine. Like you don't have enough to do but worry about a dumb a$$ computer program!

We get a case each month and if the computer deems that we did too many tests or didn't go through the right process (or used a two-word instead of a three-word diagnosis) we get the wonderful opportunity to do a remediation case....

...not that there's anything wrong with that!

Jaw, that sucks!!! We just get bad grades, but nothing that bad. At least we have someone that fields the input we do on the program. It is a huge pain in tha Arsssss still with tests and everything else, and then having to take time away from studying to do those damn things. That aounds like pure harrasment of the students to me. Hope our Admin doesn't find out about it they will implement it here. They love stuff like that.
