E-mailing Admissions About Status?

Just wondering if e-mailing the admissions office in regards to your status ever leads to an actual answer (ie. you are rejected) or just wordy responses saying admissions offers/rejections are not done going out. I am wanting to e-mail Dr. Galindo of UTSD but I'm wondering if it will be a waste of time if I'm just going to get a reply with no real answer.

If anyone has any experience with Dr. Galindo or UTSD please let me know 🙂

Last cycle I emailed her concerning my app. I had my interview around October and emailed her in Feburary. She told me I was not getting in. They still didn't send official rejections until May though.

I go to Texas A&M, and we have a Health Symposium tomorrow. Last year, Dr. Galindo attended as a representative of UT Houston, so she might be traveling back to College Station today in preparation for tomorrow's event. Thank you! You're right, I e-mailed her yesterday and got an automated response that she will be out of the office until next monday! Always waiting for something haha
