E-mailing Profs. for LORs

So far I've managed to contact all of my LOR writers except two who wrote letters for me last cycle. I've been stopping by their offices since just before finals when I have time during my lunch break. Its been two months now and I haven't had any luck catching them. They both told me last year that they would be willing to submit letters for me again if I had to reapply. Would it be okay to just e-mail them and ask? If so how does this look:

Hi "Xyz",

I hope you’re doing well. I’ve tried stopping by your office several times since just before the semester ended, but have managed to miss you. Last year you had submitted a letter of recommendation for me as part of my application to medical school. I only applied to "ABC" where I interviewed and was placed on the alternate list (currently I’m "xx"). I’m getting ready to reapply beings it’s very likely that I won’t be accepted off of the alternate list before August. I was wondering if you would be willing to submit a letter of recommendation for me again this application cycle. Would there be a time I could possibly meet with you to discuss this and provide you with any additional information? Thanks!

Let me get this straight. You need to reapply, but you're asking the same people for ANOTHER LoR? Why do that? Why not use the letters from last year and apply differently? different schools, different timing? Even different PS would be much better than asking for someone to rewrite a recommendation because you didn't get in the first time! Don't be so lazy that the people who have to double their effort to get you in is someone else.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree regarding the over-analysis - just feeling a bit more neurotic than usual today I guess😳. I e-mailed them earlier this afternoon and heard back from one of the profs. He sent me a really nice response and had no problem with it. I just used the AMCAS letter service last year (using interfolio this year) so I needed to have two of the letter writers re-submit them this year. That's why I asked them last year if they would be willing to submit them again if I re-applied.

Whew! I was thinking you were asking them to write you another. I see this in your profile, so hopefully you learned your lesson and will be applying soon and broadly.

Submitted late and only applied to one school where I interviewed and was waitlisted. Result was primarliy due to a crappy interview, though my GPA didn't help much either.

So why did yout letter say, "beings it's very likely"? Instead write, "since it's very likely" since beings isn't grammatically correct.
