Earnings compared to an MD

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It's mostly identical.

It varies from location, community, etc. The letters after your name doesn't matter.

One more thing, remember that most DO's go into primary care or want to work in underserved populations....thus the possibility of lower salary. Most DO's don't become doctors for the money. They become doctors to practice medicine and patient care.

I want to echo what Popoy said. But also add that Popoy's quote doesn't mean that MD's go into medicine for money either. I know that's not what PoPoy meant.

Sharky, What websites lists salaries of DO and MD's separately? I haven't seen anything like that. I hear the argument made, but no actually quantitative evidence. If there are some, please advise.

Ohhh yeah, that's not what I meant.... sorry about that.... Thanks jephyboy!!!

They make absolutely the same amount! In fact, if you are a family practice physician using manipulation, you have an additional billible fee.

Regarding the altruistic Popoy...gimme a break. If you serve an underserved community in a rural area, you can make thousands more than if you worked an underserved community in an urban area.
