Which one do you think is the best?

Eckerd -
Pros:
Cheapest Tuition
Solid record for helping students get into medical schools.
Campus is on the beach
Study Abroad

Cons:
Religious Affiliation
West Coast of Florida (The less nice coast IMO)
No Graduate Colleges
Virtually non-existent research program (but I could always do research elsewhere)
No greek life
Tampa

Rollins -

Pros:
BEST CAMPUS EVER
Orlando
Tiny Class Sizes (1:10 teacher/student ratio)
Nicest Location (right on Lake Virginia)
Offers the best financial aid (could be cheapest if all things done right)
Study Abroad

Cons:
Reputation as a school for lazy rich kids (nickname is Rollins Country Club)
Lack of diversity (mostly rich white kids, but with a strong international student population)
Materialism (Many of the students go shopping 3-4 times per week and have luxury cars)

Stetson -
Pros:
Better athletics, parties, and "classic" college lifestyle.
Free laundry
Approachable professors that care about you

Cons:
Nerdy student population (girls were ranked C+ on college prowler 😆 )
Terrible Transportation
MANDATORY ATTENDANCE (Professors call students when they don't show up... I'm not kidding)
Bad Dining Options

add "terrible dorms" to the Stetson con list, and "lack of diversity" can be in all of them, lol.

If cost is no factor, I'd probably go with Rollins. If cost is a factor, I think I'd lean towards Stetson more (more diversity than Eckerd, although not by much, is a big + for me and they are big on other things rather than #'s such as volunteering). Eckerd is a really good option though.

There are a lot of international students at Rollins though. The only lack of diversity is probably in economic background and political views (mostly the offspring of rich conservatives). It's only 66% white/caucasian.

yeah, i just meant they all have a lack of diversity in some form not specifically race.

and to me, 66% is still pretty high imo.

EDIT: of course the majority of other colleges aren't much better, but still

I like that you're going for LAC's and smaller schools.

I'd go to Eckerd.

Tell me what the financial aid packages you get (because we have similar GPA's) with all those schools.

Oh and orlando is kind of dangerous, btw.

I was born there :naughty:

I'll tell you if I get any financial aid once I actually apply. haha

Were you?

Hmm I should go ahead and apply to Columbia and Fordham just for laughs. (New Yorker at heart!) 😎

You know a college is a country club when they have a "beach brigade" as one of their clubs.
And "water skiing" is an official sport.

they also have a huge soccer field, but no football 🙁

needless to say, priorities are mixed up pretty bad 😛

Personally, I'm a golfer which is why I'm looking at schools in Florida.
