hi.. i'm currently econ major..

i just want to ask you questions about which classes to take

i have taken one year of bio without lab so far...
(bio 93,94,97)

my school has lillite bit complicated system for bio...
in order to take lab, i have to take
93->94->97->98(biochem), 99(micro)-100lw(upper division writing)->labs

but someone told me to go back to community college and take labs.
(nearby community college offers lab and lecture seperately)

and i have taken up to 97 and done with 1 year of bio..

and i was going to take 98, 99 and take DAT in next summer
but someone told me to take one lab in spring at community college instead of taking biochem... (becuase i'm econ major, one year of bio will be suffice..)

and i know taking biochem or micro is recommendation..

and my real questions is
should i take biochem to make my record looks good?
or should i just take lab and forget about biochem

I would take biochem and micro and the labs at the cc nearby. That way your application is complete when you apply at the end of the spring and you can update with the labs after micro.

no what i'm asking is should i take 1 semister of lab before take DAT?
or should i take 2 quater of biochem+mircro bio before take DAT?

someone told me to focus more on getting good grade (so take lab which is relatively easy)
but someone tole me to take biochem and micro bio and take labs after DAT (to make my record to look like i have strong knowledge in bio)

Hey,

I think biochem would help you on the DAT, but not the lab. Micro probably wouldn't help you on the DAT.

As far as how things would look on your application, the biochem & micro lectures would look good if you got good grades in them.
