EC's during post-bacc year

Would it be advisable to solely focus on the academics, since that is the main reason we are in a post bac, or also try and do some extracurriculars. I have a few activities, but I was hoping to also get involved with research during my time as a post-bac.

This is bit tricky because you often hear if you are doing postbac, you should make sure you get A's. But I think schools want to see you continue volunteer, clinical experieince and etc even if you think you did enough in undergrad. So I guess try to find something that is not too time consuming.
