So I love to get involved in clubs and campus activities and leadership positions. I did a ton of it throughout college. But I remember at my DMU interview they mentioned how there was a small, unofficial movement to try and prevent so much club participation as it was messing with people's grades.
I was wondering if participating in clubs and community projects while in medschool is different than in college. Obviously medschool is a much more rigorous academic commitment, but I wanted to hear some other thoughts on it.
For example... are ECs as big of a part of applying for residencies as it is for applying to medical school?
