Hey there,
Trying to meet some of my fellow classmates before school starts. Im living in Va now and not moving to Greenville until Aug1. I know orientation starts the 11th. So if anyone is headed to Brody....please respond.

I just got my acceptance letter on Friday...I was so excited. This was my third time applying. I was wondering how long it takes to get the official packet with class info and apartment info.

Congrats TD!!!!!!!!It took me 3x to get into Brody too. Cant wait for school to start. Orientation starts Aug 11th. Brody hasnt sent any info yet about school. The only thing I have heard is about my aid package and thats it. I stopped by the med school about 2 wks ago, and spoke to Peden. He said enjoy the summer which I plan too and thats about it! Thank you. Seriously, don't give up. It took me three tries to get in. The funny thing is, a few days before I got my letter, I had given up on ever becoming a doctor. Hang in there and we'll see you next year.

tee hee...right here! Been staying out of pre-allo lately b/c people tend to take things a bit too seriously in here. 😉 But I do love ECU!!!

I absolutely can't wait to start!! I only applied once, and I really can't believe I got in the first time-- I was actually getting ready to fill out the dreaded AMCAS again when I got my acceptance letter. 🙂

I am also headed for Greenville; I can't wait! It sounds like all of you are as excited as I am.

I talked to Student Affairs yesterday and was told that the majority of the information including schedules will be sent around the middle of July.

I can't wait to meet everyone and enjoy the summer.

We (my wife and two dogs) bought a house off stantonsburg road. We actually looked at Treybrooke; they are really nice and very very close, but we got an excellent deal on the house.

Looks like Im moving into Treybrooke around the 28th of July. When I spoke to Peden he said Treybrooke is full of med students. Cant wait and august is around the corner even though its going to be tough hitting the books again.

Hi Everyone! I recently joined the studentdoctor forum. I just wanted to meet and greet because I, too, will be attending Brody in the fall! And I am living in Treybrooke, too!

Has anyone received any materials in the mail about orientation? I know when it begins but don't know anything else about it.

I can't wait to meet you all. Best wishes for a few more weeks of R&R before we begin our fun journey to becoming MD's.

Are you getting a washer and dryer? I'm getting a set, but don't know how big the space is. Any suggestions?

Yeah Im going to get a set when I move in. Dont know much about washer and dryers bc Ive never bought one before but the space is HUGE. Treybrooke here we come!!!

Hi All,
I think the width of washer/dryers are pretty standard (unless you get huge jumbo ones)... It's the depth that you need to worry about. (I've been doing some shopping for W/D and this is what I've learned so far - which may be common knowledge to you home experts out there). Anyway, the dryer needs to vent in the back, so when you measure the depth of the actual dryer, you need to add several inches for the vent pipe. From a friend that lives there now, I've heard that the depth of the closet area for the W/D is about 36"-38". Hope that helps.

The reason I ask is b/c Sears is having a sale where if you spend $400 on a washer, you get free delivery for the w/d set. The $400 washer is a little bit bigger than the $349 washer, but if you get the $349 washer you have to pay $50 for delivery 🙄. If I'm going to end up paying the same amount, I'd rather get the slightly bigger one.

Okay, next question...what cell phone service are y'all getting?

I have Verizon now, but Verizon has absolutely NO coverage in Greenville. My mom's Alltell phone worked just fine when we were in Greenville, so that's probably what I'm going to go with, but I wanted to know if anybody else has any other kind of cell phone advice. I plan on using my cell phone for most of my calls so I'd love to hear other people's opinions.

I have a friend who lived in Treybrooke last year while she worked at the hospital, but she's out of the country on her honeymoon right now and I can't pester her with these questions. 😛

Whats up guys. Just got the orientation packet. Its almost here. Looks like 730 check in Aug 11th in the lobby. Cant WAIT!!!!!!!! Anyway, moving to greenville this week and cant wait to meet all of you guys.
