I know there haven't been a ton of posts about ECU, but I was just wondering if anyone on here is planning on starting there in May?! I just accepted their offer yesterday and I'm super excited!!

Hi-

I went to the interviews this past Monday but am still waiting for contact from them. Did they contact you yesterday?
After seeing the school and talking to the students and professors about the program, it is at the top of my list. I hope to be in school with you in May! Congratulations to you on your acceptance!

I was there on Monday as well, and they emailed me on Wednesday. I hope that you hear back soon!

Congratulations on your acceptance!!
ECU is my top choice, and I will be applying to start next year.

I am still finishing up some prerequisites. Would you mind sharing your stats? (GPA, GRE, prereq GPA, etc.)

I'm just wondering if I have a good shot or not! 🙂

Thanks!

Thank you! Yeah of course! My overall GPA is a 3.901, Prerequisite GPA 3.74, GRE V 151 M 152 W 4, over 700 of hours working/shadowing in clinics. I'm definitely higher than their average GPA's. But I fell in love with the program when I went there. Let me know if you have any questions!

Wow. You do have good stats! Thanks for sharing. Mine are not nearly that good, but I still hope that they give me an opportunity for an interview. (Next year, that is!)

I am still finishing up some prerequisite classes, so I plan to bring my GPA up somewhat. Currently, my overall GPA is 3.51, and prereq GPA is somewhere around 3.1. I will be taking the GRE at the end of the month. I am a little nervous about that since I have been out of school for nearly 9 years!! I worked in a clinic after I got my undergrad degree, but I have been working full time and raising a family, so I need to get some more recent clinic time.

I plan to visit during their next open house. What do you love the most about the program?

Obviously I have not started the program yet, but there are so many great things about the program from what I can tell. The small class size is a huge plus. They limit their class to 30 students, so you really get to know the people in your class, as well as the professors. I got the impression at open house that they are all very close with each other, and collectively with the faculty are like a family, which I really liked. All of the faculty run their own research as well, and allow students an opportunity to help them. Lastly, I am from North Carolina so I wanted to stay in state, so it is convenient for me that Greenville is close to my hometown. Hope this helps!
